The Pachislo Skill-Stop machines are unique in that they are legal to play just about anywhere. To play you may enter one, two, or three tokens (there are usually 3 or 5 pay lines), and press the spin button. All three wheels are now spinning, just like your local casino. Next, and unlike your local casino, you decide when to stop the spinning wheels by pressing a button for each wheel. This is what makes the machine a skill machine, and legal just about everywhere. The machines have various payouts, including a mini and big bonus game (payout). Here again the Skill-Stop differs in that if you win the big bonus game, you usually only win 50 tokens. In addition, however, you will win for the next 5 to 10 minutes (after inserting 3 coins), and depending on you skill levels could win 350 to 400 tokens. 
Each machine has its own special way of winning the jackpot. Sound effects are also different for each machine. There are 3 settings for the volume, a fourth if you include disconnecting the speaker.
Every Skill-Stop comes with a Owners Manual, 500 tokens, mounting screws (machines must be placed on a level surface), and/or spare bulbs and fuses. All machines are thoroughly reconditioned from casinos from the far east. 
Odds can be set from 98% to over 135%. This means on the average if you choose 98% you, as a player, will receive 98 tokens for every 100 played. If set at 135% you, the player, will receive 135 tokens for every 100 played! These odds are a result of how casinos in the far east operate. As an example consider you enter a casine (in the far east) and purchase 40 tokens for $10. You play all day, and at the end of the day you turn in your tokens. For our example, lets say you end up with the same number that you started with. When turning in your 40 tokens, you will receive $5. Therefore, yes you are receiving great odds, but you will not get back what you paid for the tokens. If you plan on using these machines for making money, we suggest that you sell the tokens and give prizes away to the winners of jackpots. By doing this you are able to determine how valuable of a prize you plan on giving, and how many tokens you would like to receive for each prize. The odds you are setting will determine the worst skill level you can achieve. 
Can you use US quarters? The size of the token and that of the quarter are almost identical. Many people will convert to quarters. Please keeep in mind two important facts: (1) Converting to quarters draws a fine line to gambling, which is against the law. (2) The minimum payout is 98%, which implies at best you can only just about break even. If you set the odds at 135% using quarters, well, call me so I can be the first to play. Should you choose to convert to quarters (after checking local laws) you should do it with the basic intent of having family fun.
Your Pachislo machine will provide hours of enjoyment, for many years. Remember it is an electrical product and you should use the same precautions as with any other electrical item (see Owners Manual). Probably the number one problem is having the buttons stick. This is usually caused by spilling a beverage on the buttons. To clean the buttons, simply unscrew them (from the inside), and clean with soap and warm water. Also clean the track the coin travels on and the hopper. Many custoners also wash the coins. NEVER use any type of oil lubricant to clean and "oil" any parts, in that you could permanently cause damage. 
Another important suggestion is that you always keep the reset key inside the machine. If you look to the right of the hopper, most machines will have a overfill bucket. This bucket will sometimes have a removable bottom which allows the tokens to fall through the machine base into another container under the machine. You will not need the overefill bucket, however, you do want to remove it from the machine. You also want to open the hole, if not already done, underneath the overfill bucket. What you will have is a small hole in the bottom of the machine. The purpose of doing this is that should you ever lose the key to gain access, you will be able to reach underneath and open the machine from the inside. This in turn will allow you to take out and replace the lock. The alternative, is to drill out the lock from the front, and possibly damage the front appearance and inside functions.
Before playing be sure to read the Owners Manual. You must put as least 250 coins into the hopper to begin play. If you do not put enough coins into the hopper and you win, the machine will not have enough coins to payout, and you will get an error message and have to reset the machine. And yes, you must plug the machine in, otherwise it will not work. 
Depending on what type of gambler you were (are), your Pachislo will not let you lose money! One bad night (same same as expensive) at the "old" casino can easily pay for your machine, and you will have lots of fun left.
